Refund Policy
Last updated: 13 September 2026
This policy explains when money comes back to you, how the amount is worked out, and how long it takes. It applies to services bought from Solvey Nous Techne, a sole proprietorship of Mitali Singh, based in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, India, and forms part of our Terms of Service. Where a signed project agreement says something different, that agreement takes precedence.
The principle
We charge for time and work, not for a product off a shelf. So refunds are worked out against what has actually been done, not by a flat rule. A managed-system licence is the one thing here billed as a running service rather than as work done, and it is handled under monthly and retainer services below. You are never billed for work not yet started, and anything you have paid above the value of work completed comes back to you.
Deposits and advances
- Before work begins — refunded in full, less any third-party costs already paid on your behalf.
- After work begins — a deposit covers discovery, planning and the schedule slot held for you, so it is generally not returnable. If the work done is worth less than the deposit, we refund the difference.
Projects part-way through
Cancel mid-project and you are billed for work completed and approved expenses up to that date. Any balance you have paid beyond that is refunded. Completed and approved milestones are not refundable, because the work exists and is yours to keep.
We will send you an itemised statement showing what was done and how the figure was reached. If you think it is wrong, say so — see "If you disagree" below.
Monthly and retainer services
Retainers are billed in advance for each cycle. Once a cycle has begun that period is generally not refundable, because the time was reserved for you. You can stop future renewals at any time — see the Cancellation Policy.
A managed-system licence works the same way, for a different reason: the month you have paid for is the month you have the system, so a started month is not refunded. There is no minimum term, nothing to cancel beyond telling us, and stopping never costs you your records.
If we are the ones who cancel
If we end an engagement for a reason that is not your fault — we cannot deliver, or we lose the capacity to do the work — you get a full refund of everything paid for work not yet delivered, and we will hand over whatever has been completed. This is the one case where the deposit rules above do not apply in our favour.
Third-party costs
Domains, hosting, premium plugins, stock assets, app store fees, advertising spend and AI model usage are bought in your name and paid at cost. Once purchased or consumed they are not refundable by us, because the money has gone to that provider under their terms. Model usage in particular is billed by consumption and cannot be returned once a request has run. We will always tell you before incurring one.
Work that is faulty
If something we delivered does not do what we agreed it would, that is not a refund question in the first instance — we fix it, free, within 30 days of delivery. A refund arises only if we cannot put it right. Nothing here affects your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 for services that are deficient.
How to request a refund
- Email hello@solvey.in with your project name and what you would like refunded and why.
- We acknowledge within 2 working days.
- We review and give you a written decision with the calculation within 5 working days.
- Approved refunds are paid within 10 working days of that decision, by the same route you paid us. Your bank may take a few days more to show it.
If you disagree
Ask for it to be reviewed. Contact Mitali Singh, Grievance Officer at hello@solvey.in, and we will look at it again and reply within 30 days. If you are still not satisfied, this policy does not take away your right to go to a consumer forum or a court — see the governing law clause in our Terms of Service.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The "last updated" date above reflects the current version, and the version in force when you engaged us governs that engagement.
